Yorkshire Air Museum - Part One

The Yorkshire Air Museum is the largest independent air museum in the UK. Based in the grounds of the former RAF Elvington WW2 base, the Museum is home to the Allied Air Forces Memorial and was the wartime home of No 77 Squadron RAF and also the only two bomber squadrons made up of French personnel. More than 40 exhibits including the UK's only complete Halifax bomber, the only D-assault Mirage IV nuclear jet outside of France and wide range of other incredible machines.

First collection of pictures, more can be found in part two...
This museum is a must for fans of aircraft, history and the Cold War. Plenty to look at and read with an excellent value cafe too. Very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers all help to enhance the experience and the entry ticket is usable for one year. Plenty of parking too.
